Yes, you can trade in for either in store credit to be used at the time of trade in,
GameStop gift card,
OR you can pay $6.95 and get the trade in value on a prepaid visa card.

If there is nothing you want right now, and you want to not get hit with tax, again, you can trade in your item and put the trade in value towards a preorder of a game, as far out in to the future as you want, and you can move it to any other purchase at any time, Example here.

Aren't the only consoles available to trade FOR the Switch and Xbox Series S? It's not like we can trade PS4s and Xbox One's toward non-existent PS5's or Xbox Series X's.

I thought $150 for the Xbox One S was the highest it was going to go, and so I traded it in two weeks ago.

I bought an Xbox One S with an extra controller and a few games for $200 on Kijiji, like 5 months ago. I'm pleasantly surprised that I'm gaining money from a EBGames trade-in.

Of course you can, but then you essentially lose 13% value as your trade is tax-free. But when you put directly on a gift card, you would have to pay tax on whatever you use that gift card on in the future.

So if you put it toward a few preorders, you can always change where you want the credits to go later on and you would still retain the tax savings.

Used consoles are in higher demand right now due to the chip shortages.

There are a lot of people out there that want a company behind a used product and are willing to pay.

These guys will sell these consoles for a profit and be looking for more in March if the trend continues

to be fair, you can sell either the switch or the series s for full price on kijiji. Actually not sure about series S. But if you subtract like $10 from the price, there will be a few who would be willing.

Also, I didn't know you could find the oled switch in stock? I heard the demand is even higher than the ps5 and xbox

Anyone comment on the availablity of the series x, I want to say it's worse ?? Is a gift card the only option if they don't have any series X in stock? Not sure I want to stop Playing FH5, it's such a great game.

Don't they sell used PS4s for like $300? So, $50/console isn't bad. People will pay more to buy from gamestop instead of meeting some guy in a parking lot and playing the lottery of what you actually get - especially if you don't know what to look for.

Gamestop regularly restocks the switch.. it's in stock on their website.
